If you’re a history buff and enjoy the enriching cultures of not only the native people (Ni Mee Poo) but general history of the area including the Lewis and Clark Corp of Discovery route nearby, there is plenty to see here in the Grangeville area:

**Fact:

The Salmon River is the 450 miles long and is the longest free flowing river found entirely within the boundaries of one state. The Salmon River flows through the 2nd deepest gorge into the Snake River drainage which is the deepest gorge in North America.
